Today several markets of the district visited and saw that Sajina Data is being sold from Tk 300 to Tk 500-600 per kg.
Sohel Rana, a contractor of Chuadanga, said when he came to the market to buy seasonal vegetables, he saw the price skyrocketing. So he didn’t buy. Let's see if the price drops after a few days. Mukul, the former chairman of the Alokdia Union of the district, came to the market and said Sajina Data is not for the middle class like us. That data is priced from Tk300 to 500-600. Another customer complained that the price of not only Sajina data but also everything is sky high.
Meanwhile, the shopkeepers are saying that they are forced to sell at a higher retail price because they buy at a higher wholesale price. Moreover, it is not our Chuadanga data; it is being brought from Khulna-Jesore. So the price is high. If it would have found in Chuadanga then the price will drop again. Sajne has many benefits.
