A one-and-a-half-year-old child died after drowning in a pond in Barisal. The incident took place in West Kaunia Jailbagan area of the city around 9:30 am on Monday.
Ayaan`s father Salahuddin works in the Army Welfare Organization. According to sources of the deceased`s family, Alauddin, the uncle of the deceased Ayaan, lives in West Kaunia Jailbagan quarter due to his job as a prison guard. As a result, Ayaan`s father also lived in the same quarter. On Monday morning, baby Ayan fell into the pond while playing. After a while he was not found and found in the pond of the quarter. After he was rescued and taken to Sher-i Bangla Medical College Hospital, the doctor in charge of the emergency department declared Shishu Ayan dead. This incident cast a shadow of mourning on the entire quarter. Meanwhile, receiving the news of the death of baby Ayaan, the officer in charge of Kaunia police station Abdur Rahman Mukul visited the scene.
