A Coral fish weighing 20 kg was caught in the fishing net in the Bay of Bengal in Patuakhali's Kalapara. Faraji fish market dealer Shahabuddin Faraji bought the fish through the auction for Tk 21 thousand. A fisherman named Sakil Majhi brought the fish to the Kuakata fish market of the Upazila yesterday afternoon.
Sakil Majhi, a fisherman, said that this big Coral fish was caught when we cast a net in the sea area near the Baleshwar estuary on Tuesday.
Fish trader Alamgir said Sakil Majhi found this Coral fish in the mouth of the sea near the mouth of the Baleshwar River. When the fish is brought to us, it is auctioned. Shahabuddin Faraji, the dealer of Faraji Fish Market, bought the fish at the rate of Tk 1050 per kg for a total of Tk 21,000.
Shahabuddin Faraji said we always have orders for big fish. So I bought the fish at Tk 1050 per kg. The plan is to sell the fish now at Tk 1300 per kg.
