A young man named Ziaul Hasan Jewel (22) killed by oppotion in Mirsharai of Chittagong. It is known that he was a worker of Bangladesh Students League (BSL).
The incident took place at the head of the new street of Mithanala Union of the upazila Wednesday night. Jewel is the son of Md. Alamgir Hossain of Hadimusha area of that union.
According to local people, when he was returning home from Darogarhat market at night, he was hacked and stabbed in the chest by the opponents. Later, the locals rescued him and took to the Upazila Health Complex where the doctor on duty declared him dead.
Kabir Hossain, officer-in-charge of Mirsrai police station said, the body has been sent to Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CHMEC) for autopsy and efforts are on to arrest involved in killing.
