An unidentified (50) elderly woman died after being crushed by the wheels of a truck while crossing the road at Ghoraghat of Dinajpur district.
The accident took place last Thursday at 9:30 pm at a place called Kalabari of Singra Union No. 3 in the upazila. Eyewitnesses said that a truck crushed the old woman while crossing the road on the Dinajpur-Gobindganj regional highway.
Officer-in-charge (OC) of Ghoraghat police station Asaduzzaman Asad said, the truck could not be identified. The body was dismembered. We recovered the body and brought it to the police station. Her identity could not be identified. With the help of technology, we will try to identify the identity of the deceased. If identification is not possible, the body will be handed over to Anjuman Mofidul after completing the legal process.
