Madaripur:
Asibur Rahman Khan was elected upazila chairman in Madaripur Sadar Upazila Parishad and Mohsin Miah won in Rajair Upazila Parishad election. According to election office and related sources, Madaripur Sadar Upazila Parishad Chairman Asibur Rahman Khan and Madaripur District Awami League Organizing Secretary Pavelur Rahman Shafiq Khan participated in the election. Meanwhile, Monirul Islam Tushar Bhuiyan has been elected as Vice Chairman. Faria Hashan Rakhi has been elected as the female vice chairman. Mohsin Mia has won the Rajair Upazila Parishad election of Madaripur privately.Meanwhile, Sahabuddin Mia has been elected as the vice chairman of Rajair Upazila Parishad. Noor Jahan Parul was elected as the female vice chairman.Madaripur District Election Officer Ahmed Ali confirmed the election results and said that the election ended in a fair and peaceful manner. Election results were announced at night.
Kurigram:
In the first phase, three upazila parishads of Kurigram were elected privately on Wednesday: Shahidul Islam Shalu in Roumari upazila, Ruknuzzaman Shahin in Chilmari upazila and Shafiul Alam in Rajibpur upazila. Kurigram District Election Officer Alamgir confirmed the matter. Senior Vice President of Roumari Upazila Awami League Shahidul Islam Shalu has been elected. On the other hand, Ruknuzzaman Shahin, General Secretary of Upazila Jatiya Party of Chilmari, was elected in the upazila elections. On the other hand, Shafiul Alam, a member of Kurigram district Awami League, has been elected as the chairman in Rajibpur upazila.
Bandarban:
In the first phase of the 6th phase upazila parishad elections, the polling was completed in two upazilas of Bandarban without any untoward incident. In Sadar Upazila, Abdul Quduch won the post of Chairman by getting a large number of votes. Mohammad Omar Farooq has won the post of vice chairman. Mihai Nu Marma won the women's vice-chairmanship by a huge margin. On the other hand, Jamal Uddin has been elected as chairman in Alikadam upazila. Mohammad Riton won the post of vice chairman. Shirina Akhter has won the post of female vice chairman. Bandarban district election officer SM Shahdat Hossain said that in the first phase, the elections of two upazilas, Sadar and Alikadam, have been completed. On May 21, the second phase of Lama and Naikshyongchari elections will begin. Preparations are underway to send election equipment there.
Pabna:
Abdul Wahab in Sujanagar upazila, Rezaul Haque Babu in Bera upazila and Sohel Rana Khokon in Santhia upazila were elected as chairman. Among them, new faces have been elected in Sujanagar and Santhia upazilas.
