Five shops gutted

 

At around 10.30 pm on Sunday, 5 shops were burnt down. Five shops have been burnt at the Bipari Para intersection of Ward No. 6 of Upazila Health Complex Hospital (Ghonapara) Road of Singair Municipal Area of Manikganj. Going to the spot, it was seen that, the fire started from a short circuit in the autorickshaw charger of Alinoor.

Later, one by one Abdul's gas cylinder, grocery shop, Bhangari shop Muskan Travels, and Al-Amin's petrol and octane oil shop were partially burnt down. The shopkeepers saying that there was an estimated loss of Tk25 lakh. Singair Fire Service units rushed to the spot after receiving the information about the fire. It took more than 2 hours to put out the fire as there was no water in the vehicle. Later, the Singair Fire Service unit could not extinguish the fire, Manikganj Fire Service unit came and brought the fire under control.

Ishtiaq Ahmed, Station Officer of Singair Fire Service said, initially it seemed that the fire started from an electrical short circuit from the auto battery charger. After receiving the information, we went to the spot and tried to quickly control the fire.
