Jamalpur Zilla Parishad has announced a development budget of Tk 51 cr 21 lakh 48 thousand 472 for the financial year 2023-2024.
This budget was announced in the monthly meeting of the Development Coordinating Committee of Jamalpur Zilla Parishad at the Zilla Parishad Auditorium on Sunday afternoon. Jamalpur Zilla Parishad Chairman and District Awami League President Muhammad Baki Billah presided over the budget meeting, when Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officer Munmun Jahan Liza, Panel Chairman Farhana Soma and others addressed the budget meeting.
After the meeting, Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officer Munmun Jahan Liza announced the budget for the fiscal year 2023-2024. In this year's budget, the total income has been estimated at Tk 51 cr 21 lakh 48 thousand 472. Among them, the income from government grants is Tk 17 cr 40 lakh 85 thousand 592 in various sectors including Tk 7 cr. Besides, the initial status is shown as Tk 12 cr 11 lakh 43 thousand 310 in own sector and Tk 7 crore 37 lakh 3 thousand 306 in ADP sector. On the other hand, in this year's budget, the expenditure is equal to the income. The highest expenditure in various development sectors has been shown as Tk 11 cr 56 lakh 20 thousand 613. Besides, in the expenditure sector, at the end of the year, the potential closing status of own funds has been shown as Tk 9 cr 46 lakh 91 thousand 134.
