Justice demanded against BNP leader killer

Residents of Noakhali held a human chain and protest rally demanding quick arrest and punishment of the killers of Abdul Motin Tota, President of Char Elahi Union BNP and former UP Chairman of Companyganj, Noakhali.

This program was held yesterday morning at Char Elahi market of Char Elahi Union of the upazila on the initiative of local people. Former general secretary of Char Elahi Union BNP, Abul Khair Master, son of the deceased, Jubo Dal leader Ibrahim Tota and Ismail Tota spoke at the rally.

The speakers said that Tota Chairman was a public representative for a long time. He was brutally hacked to death. Although a case has been filed in this incident, no accused has been arrested yet. The protesters threatened to lay siege to Companyganj police station and DC office if the killers are not arrested within the next 48 hours.

It is to be noted that a group of gunmen with the connivance of Char Elahi union BNP former president Ismail Hossain, Sahab Uddin, Mostafizur Rahman member, Char Elahi Omar Farooq and union Awami League general secretary Abdur Razzak brutally hacked BNP leader Abdul Motin Tota in Char Elahi market at around 9:30 pm on August 27 by doing Later he was first admitted to Noakhali General Hospital and later to Dhanmondi Popular Hospital in Dhaka. He died four days later on August 30 around 3:30 pm while undergoing treatment.
