A fire has occurred in a truck full of jute in Narsingdi Raipura upazila. Firefighters spent an hour trying to bring the fire under control. Initially, it was reported that there was a loss of around Tk5 lakh in the fire. Tuesday at 8:30 pm, a fire broke out in a moving jute-loaded truck going to Narsingdi in Raipura.

The truck coming from Narayanganj loaded with jute from Raipura Panthshala got stuck with the jute in the truck after coming to Raipura market. When the driver moved the truck forward, an electric wire snapped and caught fire on the jute. Then the truck driver took the truck out of the market at high speed and went to the bridge. Immediately the jute in the truck started burning. The fire service rushed to the news. They tried hard to put out the fire.

Immediately the fire service personnel connected the water line from under the bridge and restarted the work of extinguishing the fire. Due to the strong wind, the fire has to be extinguished with speed. After about an hour of effort, the fire was completely extinguished.

When asked, Raipura Fire Service Sub Officer Farooq Ahmed said, that after receiving the information, he went to the spot and managed to bring the fire under control in about an hour. It is said that the fire broke out when an electric cable broke with the moving truck.
