Accused of a murder case in Madaripur, Awal Madbar has been accused of killing and fleeing in a flash style. Due to the tension in the area, additional police have been deployed, police said.
This incident took place in Anandabazar area of Panchkhola Union of Sadar Upazila around 12:00 pm on Saturday. The deceased Awal Madbar is the son of Kashem Madbar of North Panchkhola village of Madaripur Sadar Upazila. On February 27, 2019, a man named Sahib Ali was killed in a clash over dominance in Kalikapur of Sadar Upazila. Awal Madbar was the defendant in that case.
According to local and police sources, Awal Madbar, son of Kashem Madbar of Panchkhola village of Madaripur Sadar Upazila, was running a tea shop on the side of the road in the village. He was in his shop on Saturday night. At night, he was called a little away from the shop. The miscreants who were nearby were cut down and left behind. During this, the fingers of the victim`s hand were severed. Also stabbed in the throat for slaughter. Later, miscreants left him on the side of the road thinking that he was sure to die. Later the miscreants escaped with 5/7 motorcycles. Later the locals heard his screams and rescued him and admitted him to Madaripur Sadar Hospital. As his condition was alarming, the doctor sent him to Faridpur Medical College Hospital for better treatment. He died on the way to Faridpur Medical College Hospital.
Nazrul Madbar, the younger brother of the deceased Awal Madbar, said that 10-15 people including Chunnu, Nannu, Mamun, Arman, Alamin, Delwar came and hacked my brother to death. Later they fled on a motorcycle. I want justice.
However, the accused have fled from the area since the incident.
Madaripur Additional Superintendent of Police (Headquarters) Circle Moniruzzaman Fakir said that there is tension in the area due to this incident. Additional police have been deployed to control the situation.
