Nine more vultures waiting to fly

Nx vultures are waiting to recover and fly in the open sky at Singra National Park in Birganj, Dinajpur. Daya Prasad Roy, Forest Beat Officer of Birganj Singhra National Park, informed the matter yesterday morning. A vulture rescue and care center has been established to protect vultures there. Nine vultures are waiting to be released.

It is known that sick and injured vultures were rescued from different districts of the country and kept in intensive care at Singra Forest National Park. If they recover, they are released into the open air again.

A vulture rescue and care center was built in the national park at Battali in Birganj Upazila of Dinajpur district in 2016 to protect the balance of nature under the initiative of the forest department. Vultures caught from different areas of the Rajshahi and Rangpur divisions were brought to this center. Then treatment and care are done. If they are able to fly, they are released into the wild with a special tag written on their leg in Bangladesh.
