Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Novo Theatre, the country's second largest Novo Theatre, has been built in Rajshahi which will be open in September.

In the meantime, the Public Works Department has completed the entire work of this project with modern technology. It will be handed over to the Ministry of Science and Technology any day.

According to the Public Works Department, the construction of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Novo Theatre started in front of Shaheed Kamaruzzaman Udyan in Rajshahi at a cost of Tk 232 cr in 2018. The last-minute works is now underway. The country's largest facility will have a 5G hall with planetarium and modern observed telescopes; which is the first in the country. The Novo Theatre in Rajshahi is scheduled to be inaugurated in September.

Harun-Ur-Rashid, executive engineer of Rajshahi Public Works-1, said Tk 140 cr was spent on building the project alone. The rest of the money was spent on parts and other sectors of the Novo Theatre. Apart from the planetarium, there is a huge space here.  In addition to any science exhibition, it is possible to do educational programs here.

He added modern telescopes are being installed. With whom researchers will further advance the study of the planet. The project of the Ministry of Science and Technology has been constructed by the Department of Public Works with proper quality. Modern decorations have been installed. Lighting, beautiful water fountains in front of the building. Central AC installation in the entire building, the ticketing system is fully automated and digital.

The official also said that more than 140 CC cameras have been installed to ensure security, including modern fire protection and detection systems. There will also be at least 100 cars parking speech for visitors. After all, this science research and space exhibition center is going to be the most modern building of the present time. However, it is not yet known how many shows will run here the day after the opening or how much tickets will cost. It will be decided by the concerned department of the Ministry of Science and Technology. The Public Works Department will soon hand over the building to the concerned ministry.
