Following the resignation of VCs of various universities, Pabna University of Science and Technology (PUST) Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Hafiza Khatun has resigned. Yesterday afternoon, she submitted her resignation to the President citing personal and family reasons.
The registrar of the university, Bijan Kumar Brahmha, confirmed that he had received the resignation letter of the vice-chancellor. He said that the vice-chancellor madam resigned due to personal reasons. According to the rules, she has sent the resignation letter to the University's Acharya President.
When asked about this, University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Hafiza Khatun said reporters through her personal assistant Md Moniruzzaman, 'I resigned from the position of Vice-Chancellor of Pabna Science and Technology University due to personal and family reasons.
Beyond that I have no say.' Incidentally, on April 12, 2022, Dr Hafiza Khatun, professor of Geography and Environment Department of Dhaka University, was appointed as the Vice-Chancellor of Pabna University of Science and Technology. She is the first woman Vice-Chancellor of Pabna University of Science and Technology and the fourth among women Vice-Chancellors in the country.
