They are Golam Naozab Chowdhury of Bangladesh Workers Party who got 265 votes, Arman Hossain Talukdar Tapas of Krishak Sramik Janata League got 1340 votes, Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal Manjur Hossain Majnu got 153 votes, Moktar Hossain Golap of Zaker Party got 512 votes, Bangladesh Congress Party member Rupa Rai Chowdhury got 105 votes. According to the rules, if the vote is less than one-eighth of the total votes, the candidate's security deposit of Tk 20 thousand is forfeited.
In this seat, Bangladesh Awami League nominated boat candidate district Awami League organizing secretary Khan Ahmed Shubo was re-elected MP by getting 88 thousand 393 votes. His closest rival, Mir Enayet Hossain, former chairman of Upazila Parishad, got 57 thousand 231 votes in the montu truck symbol.
The total voters in 1 municipality and 14 unions in this upazila are 3 lakh 58 thousand 432. Polling was held in 127 polling stations in the constituency. The total number of votes cast is 1 lakh 50 thousand 768, the number of valid votes is 1 lakh 48 thousand 368, the number of invalid votes is 24 hundred 01 and the percentage of votes cast is 42.06 percent.
