Protesters demand resignation of Barishal University (BU) Vice-Chancellor and Proctor. The students rallied on the ground floor of the academic building on the campus at 1pm yesterday.
They said the current VC and proctor harassed the students in various ways during the student movement. Even if there were various allegations of corruption and irregularities against them, they did not always face any question due to the obedience of the Awami League government. As long as this VC and proctor hold on to the students, the students of Barisal University will not get the taste of true independence.
At the rally, the agitated students gave an ultimatum to both of them to resign within the next 48 hours. After the rally, they paraded the campus with a procession.
