City Mayor Abul Khair Abdullah Khokon Serniabat inaugurated the Tk797 crore projects in Barisal. The mayor has inaugurated the first phase of the work allocated by the government. The mayor said that the work of the project worth Tk797 crore has started by inaugurating the Sher-e-Bangla road renovation work of the city yesterday morning.
By starting this work, the development process of Barisal City has started, the benefits of which will soon be enjoyed by the city dwellers. 2.435 km long and 4 meters wide Sher-e-Bangla road construction cost has been estimated at Tk3 crore 79 lakh 28 thousand 103. Initially, 161 roads will be renovated and 47 drains will be constructed for Tk267 crore.
