Tourist buses are being launched for the first time in Chattogram district. This bus will run from Tigerpass of the city to the main tourist spot Patenga Beach and the newly constructed DC Park at Faujdarhat. Initially, the tourist bus service will start from tomorrow with two buses.
NDC of Chattogram District Administration Touhidul Alam said that tourist buses are being launched for the first time with the cooperation of Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation (BRTC). The new bus service for tourists will be inaugurated on June 10 by the Secretary of Road Transport and Highways Department ABM Amin Ullah Nuri. In the first phase, two double-decker buses of BRTC have been developed as tourist buses. Meanwhile, keeping in mind the needs of tourists, an open-top bus has also been kept. Every day at 3 pm and 4 pm, tourist buses will depart from Tiger Pass in the city via DC Park on the way to Patenga Beach. Two buses will return to the city at 7 pm and 8 pm. However, these two buses will run in the afternoon as well as in the morning during the holidays. Every Friday it will be leave at 9 am from Tiger Pass to Patenga Beach and return to the city at 12 pm. On the other hand, tourist buses will depart from Tiger Pass to Patenga Beach twice on Saturday at 9:30 am and 10:30 am. Two buses will return from Patenga Beach to Tiger Pass at 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm.
