Occupying Israel today is the 4th happiest country in the world, how is Palestine?

Recently published World Happiness Report 2023. Israel has emerged as the fourth happiest country in the world. Statistics show that the Israelis, who oppressed the Palestinians for ages and occupied their land, are the happiest people in the world today.

Israelis were ranked ninth in the 2022 report. They have advanced five steps this year. That is, happier Israelis now than ever before.

Every year, the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network publishes the World Happiness Report based on the quality of life of people in different countries. In this year's report, they have published the ranking of Palestine as a separate state.

According to the report, Palestinians, crushed by decades of Israeli occupation, live in the 99th happiest country in the world. That is, Palestine is 19 steps ahead of Bangladesh in the ranking.

Bangladesh is not even among the top 100 in the list of the happiest countries in the world this year. According to the 'World Happiness Report 2023', Bangladesh is ranked 118th out of 137 countries in the list of happiest countries. The country was ranked 94th in the 2022 report. In other words, Bangladesh has fallen 24 steps in one year.

In this year's list, among neighboring countries of Bangladesh, Nepal is 78th, Pakistan 108th, Sri Lanka 112th and India is 126th.

Finland has retained the top position in the world's happiest list for the sixth year in a row. The top 10 happiest countries are Finland, Denmark, Iceland, Israel, Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, Switzerland, Luxembourg and New Zealand respectively.

Singapore has the best position among Southeast Asian countries. The country is ranked 25th in the list. Among the remaining Asian countries and regions, the United Arab Emirates is 26th, Taiwan 27th, Saudi Arabia 30th, Bahrain 42nd, Japan 47th, Malaysia 55th, South Korea 57th, Thailand 60th, Maldives 63rd, China 64th and Philippines 76th.

Other notable countries include Australia 12th, Canada 13th, Ireland 14th, USA 15th and UK 19th. This is the first time Lithuania has entered the top 20. However, France dropped from 20 to 21.
