The Ministry of Religion and Islamic Foundation felicitated Saleh Ahmed Takrim who won the third place in the `42nd King Abdulaziz International Hifzul Quran Competition` held in Saudi Arabia.
The reception was organized at Baitul Mukarram Mosque in the capital on Tuesday around 10:30 am. It was attended by the Minister of State for Religion, the Chairman of the Islamic Foundation, Takrim`s father and the principal of his madrasa.
The speakers in the felicitation said that Takrim`s achievement has brought fame to the country and the nation which will be an example for other students of the country.
Hafez Takrim won the third place among 153 Hafez from 111 countries in the 42nd King Abdul Aziz International Hafezul Quran Competition in Saudi Arabia. The final winners were announced in a gala ceremony on the night of 22 September. At this time, Takrim was given an award of 100,000 riyals and an honorary crest.
Earlier, Takrim was successful in various Quran competitions. He won first place in the 38th International Hifzul Quran Competition held at Andishah (Al-Fikir) Auditorium, Tehran. Then he won the seventh place in the International Hifzul Quran Competition in Libya.
