The High Court today granted Mawalana Rafiqul Islam Madani, popularly known as 'Shishu Bokta' bail in four cases.
A High Court division bench comprising Justice Mustafa Zaman Islam and Justice Md Aminul Islam passed the order as the Islamic preacher signed a bond stating that in future he will not make any derogatory statement against existing laws or the state.
Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) on April 7, 2021, arrested Rafiqul from his house in Netrokona.
The next day a case was filed under the Digital Security Act with Gacha Police Station in Gazipur. Another case under DSA was filed against Rafiqul with Gazipur's Bason Police Station.
Two more cases were filed against him in Tejgaon and Motijheel Thana in the capital.
