HSC exam to commence on August 17

The higher secondary (HSC) and equivalent examinations of 2023 will begin on August 17. The theoretical test will continue till September 25. The exam will be held from 10 am to 1 pm and from 2 pm to 5 pm. The practical examination will be held from November 26 to October 4. The Inter-Education Coordination Board has published the hsc exam schedule on Thursday (June 8).

According to the exam routine, the HSC and equivalent examinations of 2023 will be held in all subjects according to the revised curriculum of the National Curriculum and Textbook Board, Bangladesh (NCTB) 2022. Candidates will have to be present at the center 30 minutes before the start of the examination.

In the first phase, multiple choice and then creative or composition test will be taken. The multiple choice or MCQ examination of 30 marks has been fixed at 30 marks and 70 marks for creative. In the case of practical subjects, the time will be 25 minutes in the case of multiple choice test of 25 marks and in the case of creative of 50 marks, the time will be 2 hours and 23 minutes. Each theoretical test will be given 3 hours.

It has been said that the candidates will collect their credentials from the head of their respective institutions. The theoretical and multi-choice and practical parts examinations will have to be passed separately. It has also been mentioned in the HSC exam routine that no one other than the examination center secretary can use mobile phones.
