West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee did not forget to criticise the central government whenever she got a chance. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is his target on any issue. However, despite thousands of differences and political bitterness, the West Bengal Chief Minister sent delicious mangoes to PM Modi. Mamata Banerjee has sent mangoes not only to the Prime Minister of India but also to the Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina.
President Draupadi Murmu has received a gift of mangoes from the TMC supremo. West Bengal mangoes have also been sent as gifts to Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar and Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud. According to sources, mango dal of Lakshanbhog, Himsagar, Fazli and Langra varieties has been beautifully boxed and sent to New Delhi.
Of course, this practice is nothing new. Every year, mangoes from West Bengal are sent to the Prime Minister's Office of India. Mamata has been following this tradition for almost 12 years. As per tradition, the West Bengal chief minister also gifted mangoes to Congress president Sonia Gandhi and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
Mamata Banerjee has also sent high quality mangoes as well as her best wishes for Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina of India's neighbouring country Bangladesh.
