No public toilet in the station

Poradaha Railway Junction Station was established during the British rule. From the beginning of the construction of this station, there were 20 public toilets for the convenience of passengers, including 10 on platform No. 2, 5 on platform No. 3, and 5 on platform No. 4, there were 3 sweeper colonies, 1 railway hospital, paved buildings with benches for passengers were constructed at the station. Currently, the platform has been renovated and made much bigger. It takes 5-7 minutes to go from one end of the station to another. But there is no public toilet on that platform. It is essential for all passengers including women and disabled.

The demand of people of all professions, including passengers, should be made separately on 4 platforms. Even though the arched roof of the British period was demolished and a new roof was installed, it could fall on the passengers at any time because it is broken in some places. On the condition of anonymity, the station officials said that even after telling the senior officials many times about the issue of public toilets, no work was done. There are cracks in the concrete building of the station, we are continuing with the fear that it will collapse at any moment and fall on our heads.

The station has not been constructed with public toilets for passengers. As a result, train passengers have to wait for the train and suffer due to lack of toilets. We are fed up of hearing complaints from passengers every day. Seeing the various problems of passengers, GRP police station OC Emdadul Haque has prepared 13 steel benches with the help of local conscious citizens. That bench is now getting some relief as it is a place for passengers to sit.
