Government and autonomous office hours were fixed from 8 am to 3 pm from August 24 to save electricity and energy in the global crisis. Now the government can extend the time by an hour.
According to the sources concerned, the office schedule may be made from 8 am to 4 pm from October in view of the winter as well as the demand for electricity has decreased slightly. The Cabinet Division can prepare a proposal in this regard and send it to the Prime Minister`s Office.
Recently, State Minister for Public Administration Farhad Hossain had said that the office will continue in the current schedule until further notification. I can adjust my office hours later.
It is to be noted that due to the global energy crisis, the government fixed the office hours of all government, semi-government and autonomous institutions from 8 am to 3 pm on August 24 this year.
At the same time, the transaction time has been fixed from 9 am to 3 pm in all scheduled banks. It was also decided to hold weekly holidays on Friday and Saturday in all educational institutions of the country.
