Sales of fans heat up

Heatwave is sweeping the country, with excessive load shedding. All in all, public life is disrupted. In this context, the demand for electronic charger fans, air coolers, IPS, solar batteries, and general fans has increased a lot in the Kishoreganj market. In this opportunity, the sellers are increasing the prices of these electronics products by the hour showing that the supply is less than the demand.

The wholesalers claim that the traders imported these electronics products in December during the winter. Now even though the fan is stocked in the warehouse, they are not releasing it in the market. We talked yesterday afternoon with Masud, owner of Gaurangabazar Swarna Electronics. He said, 'Load shedding with intense heat. People are now buying charger fans to escape from the heat.

The price is a little higher because the supply is less than the demand. We have sold 12-inch charger fans for Tk3500. Two weeks ago I sold this fan wholesale for Tk2700. Talking to retailers and wholesalers, it is known that the mini charger fan is now being sold at Tk 220, this fan was Tk160 a week ago. The price of the moving fan is Tk1100, which was Tk900 a week ago, the mini fan is Tk500, which was Tk320. The current price of a 7.5-inch fan is Tk 2000, a little bit increased.Meanwhile, the demand for charger lights has also increased due to load shedding. Charger lights of different volts are being sold starting from Tk200. Apart from this, sales of candles with charger lights have also increased.

In this regard, Assistant Director of Kishoreganj Directorate of Consumer Rights Protection, Hriday Ranjan Banik said, "We have already monitored electronics shops or showrooms in the Gaurangbazar area. Our monitoring activities will increase further. If any consumer complains to us about charging excessive prices, we will take strict measures in this regard.
