Two illegal diagnostics, hospital centers shut in Feni. Mobile courts were conducted in various hospitals and diagnostic centers in the city yesterday. The mobile court was run under the leadership of Sadar Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Sajib Talukder. Due to a lack of license, Cure Diagnostic Center was fined Tk 5,000 and ordered to stop all activities. Medilab Hospital was ordered to stop surgery due to various irregularities and fined Tk 20,000 and the institution was ordered to correct all the irregularities.
Besides, Al Madina Hospital was visited and ordered to stop its activities due to lack of license. Dr. Imam Hossain and Dr. Mirza Minhajul Islam, Medical Officer of Civil Surgeon Office, and Dr. Tanveer Ahmed Rafsan, Medical Officer of Feni Sadar Upazila Health Complex were present at the time. Dr. Shihab Uddin, civil surgeon of Feni, confirmed the matter and said that as per the instructions of the Directorate General of Health Services, the inspection campaign will continue in various unregistered/unlicensed clinics/hospitals/diagnostic/blood bank institutions.
