A day-long workshop on “Right to Information” was held today at the Bangladesh Civil Aviation Authority (BCA). The Public Relations Department of BCA organized the workshop.
The workshop was attended by the Chairman of the Civil Aviation Authority, Air Vice Marshal Md. Monjur Kabir Bhuiyan, OSP, BUP, ndc, nswc, afwc, psc, Air Vice Marshal Md. Monjur Kabir Bhuiyan, OSP, BUP, ndc, nswc, afwc, psc, as the chief guest.
In his speech, the chief guest said, “The Right to Information Act, 2009 is a groundbreaking law which is helpful in ensuring transparency, accountability and public participation in the administration. BCA is always committed to implementing the Right to Information Act.”
In addition to officers and employees of different levels of BCA, a large number of journalists were present at the workshop.
In the discussion, the speakers shed light in detail on the proper implementation of the Right to Information Act, methods of obtaining information, and responsible approaches.
Participants expressed hope that such workshops would play an important role in increasing public awareness as well as ensuring efficiency and accountability in government services.
