Communal harmony will be maintained in the country at any cost: Home Minister

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal has said Bangladesh is moving ahead due to the maintenance of communal harmony. During the war of independence, there was no discrimination between Hindus, Muslims and Buddhists, and Christians in this country. Everyone participated in the war of independence and the country became independent. This harmony will be maintained at any cost and the country will move forward. ’

He said this while addressing the ‍‍`Sheikh Hasina Gold Cup Football Tournament‍‍` at Lalmohan in Bhola on Friday (September 30) on the occasion of the 76th birthday of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

The Home Minister said, "No one will work in any conspiracy. Comilla will not be repeated under any circumstances in the ongoing Durga Puja. CCTV cameras have been installed in all puja pandals in Bangladesh and adequate security arrangements, including volunteers, have been made. ’  

Bhola-3 MP Nurunnabi Chowdhury Shaon and Secretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports Mezbah Uddin also spoke on the occasion. Bhola Deputy Commissioner Tawfiq-e-Elahi Chowdhury, Bhola Superintendent of Police Saiful Islam, and Lalmohan Upazila Chairman Freedom Fighter Gias Uddin Ahmed were present on the occasion.
