Prominent journalist Sheikh Abu Taleb was injured in a road accident at Jatrabari intersection on Sunday 8.45 pm.
Abu Taleb, along with his two friends, was riding in an autorickshaw to Jatrabari when a reckless Syedabad-bound bus from Chandpur district rammed it.
Taleb has been seriously injured in his left leg and was rapidly admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital. Two iron rods pierced his left leg.
The angered people detained the Al Arafah Express Ltd’s bus (Dhaka Metro Bha-15-5759), and chased the driver, Md Sohel, son of Milon; however, he failed to show his driving license.

Taleb’s elder brother, journalist Abu Bakar Siddique, submitted an FIR to Jatrabari Thana.
