To continue the progress of the University, the present Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Swadesh Chandra Samant is working tirelessly with all the components of the University. As a result of which today the students can take the degree at the scheduled time. Teachers and staff are getting their deserved promotion on time. Due to his liberal policy, no adverse comments are found from any employee of the university. Moreover, one of the great qualities of this university is that everyone continues to contribute in their respective fields.
It is hoped that Patuakhali Science and Technology University will go above and beyond to become known as a smart university as a part of building a smart Bangladesh by leader Sheikh Hasina, the privileged daughter of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
