Birds flocking in swarms

As soon as the breeze of winter comes, many guest birds from different countries stared flocking in many places of the country. Arunima Resort Golf Club is one of the few places in the country where guest birds are seen on a large scale.

Built on 50 acres of land in a quiet village, about 31 kilometers from the district town, the resort is well-known as the home of birds. Different species of native birds are seen here for 12 months of the year and foreign birds stay for nine months.

On the spot, it was seen that the guest birds of different species, which went out in search of food in morning have started returning to the resort before the evening. These birds, which fly in swarms, sit on the branches of small trees located on the edge of the resort's lake. Nature lovers are rushing from different parts of the country to the picturesque scene of birds sitting on branches, the sound of wings fluttering and chirping.

Munib Khandaker, manager of Arunima Resort Golf Club, said, "It is a full-fledged resort built in a natural environment. The biggest feature here is the birds here. For about nine to 10 months, various native and foreign birds are combined here. Here one can get very close to the bird by boat."

Khabir Uddin Ahmed, chairman of Arunima Resort Golf Club, said there is no other resort in Bangladesh where such birds can be seen. The bird has to be given a home, it has to be protected. They are safe here. So they are coming here as soon as winter start.
