Among three sisters and one brother, Salim Talukdar was the eldest. He was the only earner in the family. Salim Talukder Ramzan was shot dead in the clash surrounding the ongoing anti-quota movement in front of BRAC University on July 18 at around 11:30 am.
He was on the brink of death in a hospital bed with bullet wounds for 15 days. Doctors declared him dead at 8 am on Thursday. The body was taken to Badda Link Road house around 3:30 pm. The first funeral was held there.
Later yesterday at 10 am, Selim's body was buried in the family graveyard after the second Janaza at the village home. Earlier, when his body reached home around 2.30 am, a mournful atmosphere was created in the area. At this time, his relatives and classmates burst into tears.
