Deceased policemen families received memorials and gifts

Police Memorial Day celebrated with due dignity in Khagrachari district like the rest of the country in memory of the policemen who laid down their lives while maintaining public safety and law and order.

Khagrachari District Police observes the day as part of the central program of the Bangladesh Police Force. On this occasion in Police Lines wreath-laying, discussion meetings, and memorials were given to the families of the policemen killed in the line of duty.

Khagrachari Superintendent of Police (SP) Mukta Dhar laid a wreath at the Police Memorial at Khagrachari Police Lines yesterday morning. Later a smart police team gave the armed salute. At this time the bugle is played.

Khagrachari district SP Mukta Dhar presided over the event. Commandant (DIG) Paritosh Ghosh of Khagrachari APBN and Specialized Training Center spoke as the chief guest.

At the end of the discussion, the families of 9 policemen who sacrificed their lives on duty were felicitated with honors and flowers. Khagrachari SP Mukta Dhar handed over gifts to the families of the policemen who sacrificed themselves in the Khagrachari district.

Khagrachari SP Mukta Dhar said that the Bangladesh Police is a century-old institution. In the service of the country, in the service of the people, under the guidance of the government, the police are always performing their duty to maintain law and order. To keep the people of this country safe, every member of the police is performing their duties with utmost dedication and professionalism. And while performing this duty, we have lost many of our policemen. Their sacrifice inspires us. At this time, she assured the families of these policemen who sacrificed their lives to be by their side in any need.
