A regional history conference on the history and heritage of Greater Barisal was held in Barisal. This seminar was held at Jibanananda Hall of Barisal University yesterday at 10 am. At this time, the speakers discussed the lives and sacrifices of special people and nobles of Barishal. The guests think that through this conference, a new dimension will be added to the history of Barishal.
In addition, the speakers hope that the path of learning history will be smoother for the new generation. About two hundred teachers and students of different colleges participated from different parts of the country through registration. Bangladesh History Association President Professor Abul Kashem presided. Barisal City Corporation Mayor Abul Khair Abdullah, Calcutta University History Department Ashutosh Professor Amit Dey and others were the chief guests.
