Boro Paddy, Rice and Wheat collection 2024 was inaugurated in Mahadevpur, Naogaon on yesterday at 11:30 am at Mahadevpur Sadar Food Warehouse. Member of Parliament for Mahadevpur - Badalgachi (Naogaon-3) Constituency Sourendranath Chakraborty was present as the chief guest and formally inaugurated it. Upazila Nirbahi Officer Kamrul Hasan Sohag presided over it.
Acting Chairman of Upazila Parishad, Okumal Chandra Saha Budu, Upazila Food Controller Mohajer Hasan, Officer-in-Charge of Mahadevpur Sadar Food Warehouse Zahedur Rahman, President of Mahadevpur Upazila Chaul kall Mill Malik Group Belal Uddin and General Secretary Abdul Razzak Tarafdar, prominent rice trader Alhaj Abdul Jabbar and Shahinoor Islam etc. This time in Mahadevpur upazila, a decision was taken to purchase 2821 metric tons of paddy, 20356 metric tons of boiled rice, 3444 metric tons of atap rice and 60 metric tons of wheat. The procurement process will continue till August 31.
