Abdullah Hil Kafi, Jamaat-e-Islami Bangladesh' Sapahar Upazila Branch Secretary, died after being hit by a robber's stick in Naogaon's Sapahar. He died while undergoing treatment at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital yesterday afternoon.
The deceased Jamaat leader was assistant teacher of Sapahar Alhelal Islami Academy and College.
Sapahar Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Palash Chandra Dev confirmed the matter.
OC said that the deceased Abdullah Hil Kafi was returning home on a motorcycle after a meeting from the party office on Friday night. On the way the miscreant stops his car. After that, the miscreants ran away after fighting with native weapons. After that he was taken to the Upazila Health Complex and the doctor on duty referred him to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital for better treatment. He died while undergoing treatment there. The OC also said that a case of robbery along with a murder has been registered in Sapahar police station.
