The monthly meeting of the Law and Order Committee was held in Goalanda, Rajbari. The meeting was held at the Upazila Parishad hall yesterday afternoon, organized by the Upazila administration.
The meeting discussed issues to be done to prevent various criminal activities, including controlling the law and order situation in the Upazila, proper management of Daulatdia Ghat, preventing child marriage, preventing violence against women and children, increasing public awareness to curb drug addicts and drug dealers. The meeting, chaired by Upazila Nirbahi Officer Jyoti Bikash Chandra and moderated by Assistant Commissioner (Land) Md Asaduzzaman, was attended by Goalanda Ghat Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md Rakibul Islam, Upazila Health Complex Medical Officer Pradeep, Upazila Women's Affairs Officer Salma Begum, Upazila Women's Affairs Officer Ruhul Amin, Primary Education Officer Md Kabir Hossain, Uzanchar Union Parishad Chairman Md Golzar Hossain Mridha, Chhotobhakla Union Parishad Chairman Md Amzad Hossain, representatives of various departments of the Upazila, and journalists working in print and electronic media.
At the meeting, Upazila Nirbahi Officer Jyoti Bikash Chandra emphasized on making the activities of the law and order committee effective and regular and called for improving the law and order situation through joint efforts of all concerned.
