Police Memorial Day in Bandarban

Police Memorial Day was observed in Bandarban to remember the policemen who laid down their lives for their duty. A humble tribute was paid to the monument at Balaghata Police Lines premises yesterday morning.

Policemen, who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty are remembered with deep respect. Later senior officials including District Police, Tourist Police, In-Service Training Center Police, and APBM laid wreaths at the police memorial monument. At this time, a smart team of the district police gave an armed salute. At the beginning of a discussion at the Police Convention Hall, a special prayer was offered for the peace of the souls of the martyred policemen who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty. At this time, a one-minute silence was observed.

Speakers said that policemen always work for the country. Although they sacrifice their lives, they do not forget their duties. Maintaining the internal security of the country, and maintaining law and order, is one of the duties and responsibilities of the police force. The members of the police force are performing this duty very efficiently after being initiated by the vow of service to the country.

District In-Service Commandant (Superintendent of Police) Wahidul Haque Chowdhury, Superintendent of Police Mohammad Manzur Morshed, Additional Superintendent of Police Hossain Mohammad Raihan Kazemi, Abdul Karim, Assistant Superintendent of Police (Ruma Circle) Md Junaid Zahedi, Assistant Police Super (DSB) Md Salahuddin, President Aminul Islam Bachchu and senior law enforcement officials were present in the press club.
