Protest for justice of BNP leader Tota‍‍`s killing

Locals formed a human chain and protested demanding hanging of BNP president and former UP chairman Abdul Matin Tota's killers in Char Elahi Union of Companiganj Upazila of Noakhali.

It is worth noting that a group of armed Awami terrorists and their associates hacked BNP leader and former UP chairman Abdul Matin Tota to death on the night of August 27 in Char Elahi Bazar, seriously injuring him. He died while undergoing treatment on August 30, four days after the incident.

Thousands of men and women of Char Elahi Union in Noakhali held an hour-long program yesterday at around 12:30 pm on the road in front of the Noakhali Judge's Court and in front of the Superintendent of Police's office and the Deputy Commissioner's office at around 12:30 pm.

Former president of Char Elahi Union BNP Hossain Member, former general secretary Abul Khair Master, organizing secretary of Char Elahi Union BNP Nurul Huda Master, former president of Char Elahi Union Jubo Dal Ismail Tota, son of the deceased Abdul Matin Tota, and former general secretary of Union Chatra Dal Sabuj Tota addressed the rally.

The speakers said that Abdul Matin Tota, the chairman, organized the leaders and workers of Char Elahi Union in difficult times. He was brutally hacked to death by fascist after August 5. When 13 accused surrendered in court in this murder case, the judge rejected their bail and sent them to jail. One accused was arrested by the relatives of the deceased and handed over to the police. Allegation rises on police that they are trying to save the main accused in the case, Awami League leader Abdur Razzak. On the contrary, members of the Tota’s family are being implicated in false cases one after another in a planned conspiracy fueled by the accused.

Inspector (Investigation) Abdus Sultan, OC of Companiganj Police Station, rejected the allegations and said that the police are trying to arrest the accused with the help of information technology. The case is being viewed with the utmost seriousness.
