Road Transport Act 3200 cases in a year in Khagrachari

3200 different vehicles have been booked for various crimes in the last year in the implementation of the Road Transport Act 2018 in Khagrachari. In these cases, the revenue has been collected Tk 90 lakh.

District Traffic Inspector Supriya Deb said that since Khagrachari district is a tourist city, more than 100 buses and other vehicles from different districts of the country travel every day, and for the development of the forestry industry, there are more than a hundred vehicles for transporting bamboo and wood. The old municipal bus terminal was too small in size to accommodate many vehicles, forcing drivers to park on the side of the road. Parking problems can be solved only by enforcing the law. Meanwhile, Police Superintendent Mukta Dhar distributed leaflets and festoons to the students of various schools and colleges in the city to increase road usage and traffic awareness, along with various constructive workshops with professional drivers and helpers, and warning mobile drivers on road transport.
