The case was filed at Nawabganj police station on Wednesday night. The plaintiff in the case is Md Akkas (50), son of deceased Arfan Mia of Komarganj area of Boxnagar union of upazila.
In this case, Md Palash, the organizing secretary of Upazila Swachasebak League, has been made the main defendant. In the statement of the case, the plaintiff Md Akkas mentioned that during the anti-discrimination student movement on August 4, the local people and students took a peaceful stand on the road in front of Komarganj passenger shed of Nawabganj Upazila. At that time, Iman Ali's son, led by Jalil, the 2nd accused in the case, attacked the local public and students. Several students and people were seriously injured. They are currently under treatment.
In this case, a case has been filed in the name of 42 people with Md Palash, the organizing secretary of Nawabganj Upazila Awami Volunteer League, as the main defendant.
It should be noted that earlier on September 2, a case was filed against 173 people at Nawabganj Police Station. In the case, 250-300 unknown persons were made accused.
OC Md Shahjalal of Nawabganj Police Station said that the case was taken after receiving the written statement of the plaintiff Md Akkas Ali on Wednesday night. A case has been filed against 42 people. Another 50-60 people are mentioned anonymously.
