Jashore University of Science and Technology (JUST) Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Anwar Hossain has resigned. He confirmed this.
In his resignation letter, he mentioned that there is unrest in the current situation in the university. As a result, there is a fear of session congestion in the university again.
He expressed his inability to manage the university in such a situation. Besides, the Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Professor Dr. Iqbal Kabir Zahid and the Vice-Chancellor's Personal Secretary Md. Abdur Rashid also submitted their resignations.
The treasurer of the university, Professor Dr. Md. Anisur Rahman, the provost of Shaheed Masiur Rahman Hall, Dr. Md. Tanveer Islam and all the assistant provosts of the hall resigned last Tuesday afternoon.
In an immediate response, Vice-Chancellor Dr. Anwar Hossain said, 'Their allegations against me are false. If I do something wrong, then the government will investigate and take action.'
