Nilphamari District Awami League President and Mayor of Nilphamari Municipality Dewan Kamal Ahmed was given a mass felicitation by workers as he was elected president of the Nilphamari District Bus-Minibus Workers Union. This cultural program was organized after the worker's mass reception.
Executive President of Nilphamari District Bus-Minibus Workers' Union Zikrul Haque, Bangladesh Awami League presidium member, former minister, and president of Bangladesh Road Transport Workers Federation Shajahan Khan MP was present as the chief guest. Asaduzzaman Noor, Member of Parliament for Nilphamari-2 Constituency, former Minister of Culture and eminent cultural figure was present at the reception. Nilphamari District Awami League General Secretary and Nilphamari Zilla Parishad Chairman Advocate Momtazul Haque were present as special guests. Nilphamari Superintendent of Police Mostafizur Rahman said that sufficient police were deployed around the event. In addition to the uniformed police, plainclothes police perform duties. The program went well without any untoward incidents.
