Upazila Parishad has submitted nomination papers of 11 candidates including uncles and nephews in Chowagachha of Jashore in the second phase of elections. In the 6th Upazila Parishad second phase election to be held on May 21, on the last day of submission of nomination papers, three candidates for the post of chairman, five for the post of female vice chairman and three for the post of vice chairman have submitted nomination papers.
The election officer confirmed this information. Candidates have submitted their nomination papers themselves and through their representatives through online. But all the candidates are from Awalig. Candidates of any other party including BNP Jamaat have not collected nomination papers in this upazila. Upazila Election Officer Salim Reza confirmed the information and said, according to the schedule, nomination papers will be selected on April 23, and the deadline for withdrawal is April 30. Polling will be held on May 21.
