The leaders and activists of Awami League and its associated organizations formed a human chain to protest the attack on the office, house and business establishments of Shafiqul Islam Shafiq, general secretary of Bajitpur Upazila Jubo League and Ward No 9 Swechasebak League President Faizul Islam in Kishoreganj.
The human chain was held at Shaheed Syed Nazrul Islam Square in the district yesterday morning.
Jubo League Central Committee Joint General Secretary Babu Subrata Pal, District AL Vice President Nurunnabi Badal, Central Jubo League Assistant Secretary Ataur Rahman Ujjal, Central Jubo League Member Adv Arkan, Nikli Sadar UP Chairman Karar Shahriar Ahmed Tulip, Hilchia UP Chairman Mazharul Haque Nahid, Central Swechasebak League Member Sheikh Rafiqunnabi Sathi, Bajitpur Upazila Swechasebak League Convener Nazrul Islam Khokon and many others spoke on the occasion.
Bajitpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge Mohammad Shafiqul Islam said, “We have received a written complaint in this regard. Further legal action is being taken subject to investigation.”
