A one-and-a-half-hour long courtesy meeting was held at the battalion commander level of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB)- Border Security Force (BSF) on various issues of Hili border in Dinajpur. The meeting was held inside Bangladesh at the zero line (285/11S) pillar of the gate at the border check post yesterday morning. Members of the border guarding forces of the two countries were present. Earlier, Lt Col Tanzilur Rahman, commander of Joypurhat-20 BGB battalion, greeted Kamal Bhagat Singh Hili, commander of 151 battalion of BSF, with flowers when he came to zero point area of the border.
Lt Col Mohammad Tanzilur Rahman said this is the first courtesy meeting with the BSF after joining the Joypurhat-20 BGB battalion. The courtesy call was held mainly to maintain harmony on the border.
