A seven-year-old child was killed after being crushed by a bus in Rajshahi city on yesterday afternoon. The accident occurred around 1:30 PM,yesterday, in the Bhadra Mor area of the city. The deceased was identified as Maria Aktar Juthi, daughter of Hasan Mollah, a resident of the Meherchandi area in the upazila. It was reported that a bus hit an auto-rickshaw from behind, causing Maria to fall onto the road. The bus then ran over her, killing her on the spot. Local residents vandalized several buses following the incident. Later, the army arrived at the scene and brought the situation under control. On information, police recovered the body, said Mehedi Masud, officer-in-charge of Boalia Model Police Station.
