Land Minister Narayan Chandra Chanda said that smart land management is being worked on in phases. Many people associated with the land office are corrupt. Although the Assistant Commissioner (Land) is good, many people are doing dishonest work in his office. Now everything should be freed from corruption and build a smart Bangladesh.
He said these things at the public relations digital survey workshop and exchange meeting with stakeholders at the Barishal District Administrator's office conference room yesterday afternoon.
The land minister also said that the manpower in the land-related departments is low, and efforts are being made to increase it quickly. Many are making mistakes due to a lack of awareness about land tenure. Apart from raising awareness, our goal is to make every office corruption-free. Whoever is doing the corruption is getting caught now. Because, the voter ID card records all the activities including the land of everyone. As a result, there is no opportunity to get away with corruption.
Barishal Divisional Commissioner Shaukat Ali presided over it. Land Records and Survey Directorate Director General (Grade-1) Anis Mahmud, Additional Secretary of Ministry of Lands Ziauddin Ahmed, Deputy Commissioner Shahidul Islam, and various district and upazila executive officers and land officers of the department were also present in the meeting.
