Bangladesh Rural Electrification Board (BREB) is a statutory service organization. About 45 thousand officers/employees of BREB and 80 Palli Bidyut Samity (PBS) under it are working tirelessly to provide electricity services to about 37 million different categories of consumers in the country.
However, it is being observed with concern that some PBS officers/employees are absent from their workplaces without prior approval from the authorities. Due to this, customer services are being disrupted during the current countrywide summer season and storms, which is not desirable at all.
To ensure uninterrupted electricity service to 37 million consumers of the country and nationwide electricity supply during the upcoming holy Eid-ul-Azha, all the officers/employees of PBS who are absent without permission are requested to be present at their respective workplaces immediately.
